We're bursting with pride to celebrate the incredible achievements of a whole team of amazing runners who tackled the London 2024 Half Marathon this October.
Running for a Cause:
Michelle Ruas and Lois Gaden were running for AGB to fundraise for the children at the Martin Luther King School in Guinea-Bissau, built by the remarkable Natcha. Every participant's contribution, big or small, will directly impact these students' lives. On Sunday October 13th, Michelle ran the Royal Parks 2024 Half-Marathon and Lois ran her Half-Marathon along the great London Thames.
A Team Effort:
Huge congratulations to Holly Lewis, Isabel Bradbury, Katrina West, Maria Khotin, and Emeline Drabwell! These powerhouse women dedicated months to training, pushing their limits, and facing the challenge head-on. And on Sunday, October 13th, they all crossed the finish line, proving that dedication, passion, and teamwork can achieve anything!
Another big thank you to their designated photographer Luke Matthews and supporters to came to celebrate the day.
Making a Real Difference:
Did you know that just £3.22 can cover a child's school fees for a month in Guinea-Bissau? Thanks to generosity of Michelle and Lois' supporters, a total of £865 has been raised! This means that AGB can now fund over 268 months of school fees, giving 24 children the opportunity to receive an education for an entire year and build a brighter future.
Support Continues:
AGB is also working hard to expand the Martin Luther King School with a brand-new building full of classrooms. Every donation helps them inch closer to that goal.
