More Information:
1. 2 x upcycling workshops with Dandan Zhu on ‘how to re-invent your own clothes’: 10 – 12am or 2 – 4 pm Dandan, from China, is a qualified clothes designer, and has run similar workshops before. She has been my ESOL student for the past year and has shown how inventive and creative she can be. If you'd like to, please bring an item of clothing of your own that is too big.
2. ‘Our charity shop’ If you can, please all bring 2 or more nice items of clothing (clothes that you like, but don’t wear any more). We will put all these items on sale – you can pay what you wish to buy them. All leftover clothes will be sold in reception at London South East Colleges afterwards to raise more funds.
3. Food from around the world e.g. Empanadas from Ecuador, Nepali Mo Mo, Lebanese Yalangy and Tabuleh and a dish from Senegal- all made by my ESOL students at LSEC

Cause:
We are trying to raise funds to build schools in Guinea Bissau. One school, Reinaldo Natcha’s Martin Luther King School, is already functioning and desperately needs an extension to accommodate more students. This extension has already been started, but they need more bricks to complete all the classrooms.
The other school is a long-planned building by the family of Alfecene, one of my Level 2 ESOL students. He and his father and brother are going back to Bissau from London to start building it in September.
Proceeds of this fundraiser will be divided between the 2 schools. We also need funds to sponsor girls in Guinea Bissau for university education. This costs between £20 and £40 per month (9 months of the year). If you are able to set up a regular payment to AGB (via Paypal on our website), this will make a great difference to our selected girls, and their country.
